Volunteers

Mindful of the bounty of offering service to others, the organisers would like to request your kind assistance in carrying out certain tasks during National Convention. Volunteer helpers are needed to assist in such areas as arranging devotionals, registration on the opening day, ushering, and directing or escorting participants to different parts of the venue. Regular attendees at Convention will no doubt be familiar with many of these tasks.

Naturally, these acts of service will not only ensure the smooth functioning of the Convention, but also help permeate the gathering with that spirit of unity and friendship which should so distinguish every Bahá’í event.

If you are able to serve in some capacity, please email the convention registrar stating the day(s) on which you are attending and whether you wish to perform any specific tasks

My name is `Abdú’l-Bahá. My qualification is `Abdú’l-Bahá’. My reality is `Abdu’l-Bahá. My praise is `Abdú’l-Bahá. Thraldom to the Blessed Perfection is my glorious and refulgent diadem, and servitude to all the human race my perpetual religion … No name, no title, no mention, no commendation have I, nor will ever have, except `Abdú’l-Bahá. This is my longing. This is my greatest yearning. This is my eternal life. This is my everlasting glory.”

`Abdu’l-Bahá, quoted by Shoghi Effendi, ‘World Order of Baha’u’llah’, p. 139
